Winner of Lloyd's List Global Award

In September Nadiro and customer Maersk Tankers took home the prestigious Lloyd’s List Global Award in the category Safety at Sea for their significant contribution to saving lives at sea.

Nadiro and Maersk Tankers were awarded for the Drop-In-Ball – Nadiro’s unique onload release lifeboat hook system, which raise the bar for maritime and offshore lifeboat hook systems significantly.

- We set to improve the quality and safety level of lifesaving appliances, because our colleagues at seas must regain their confidence in these devices after too many tragic accidents during testing of faulty equipment, says Esben Juul Sørensen.

In addition to the Lloyd’s List Safety at Sea Award, Nadiro was also nominated for the Lloyd’s List Innovation Award for the complete Nadiro lifeboat launching system.

The system take an innovative approach to container design and winch systems as well as a unique drop-in-ball system, which is set to revolutionise the launch of lifeboats from moving vessels.
