Nadiro win the prestigious Seatrade Award
On Monday 4 April, 350 of the maritime industry’s leaders was gather in London’s Guildhall to celebrate outstanding contributions towards safe and efficient shipping. Nadiro was nominated in the Safety at Sea category.
– We are very proud to win the Safety at Sea category for our Drop-In-Ball system. It is currently the only lifeboat hook system on the market that eliminates all know root causes to on-load release hook accidents, says Esben Juul Sørensen, Managing Director at Nadiro.
The Drop-In-Ball system does not depend on moving system components and it has redundancy in the release mechanism. The system can be retrofit on all known lifeboats and has a significant impact on safety, which has been internationally recognised, already taking home the Lloyd’s List Global Award and the Safety at Sea International Award in 2010.
The guests at the Seatrade Award 2011 included ship owners, ship builders, bankers, insurers, lawyers, brokers, maritime associations and government bodies. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was the Guest of Honour of the evening and was also prensenting the awards.
